For the last 30 years my weight has slowly drifted upwards. At regular intervals I decided it was time to lose some weight and I’d take on some or other diet, which would work well until something or other distracted me – a cold, work, the holidays. While I can’t tell you why I stopped dieting at any given time, I can remember the slow, steady progression. I am not ready to announce what weight I reached but there came a day where I decided enough was enough.
But even then, the last 3 years my weight has just had a ceiling I refused to go beyond. Weight loss was followed by weight gain. Repeat. Panic when you approach the ceiling.
That changed end of May 2019. Something triggered in my mind and, apart from a few couple of pound relapses when work or health or looking after my mom has been overwhelming, I have stuck to the diet and walking plan. I am still not doing enough, not doing serious exercise but I am seeing results. Very, very slow results. I hope this time its for real, I hope that soon I will start seeing serious results, but as long as I am downward-bound, I don’t care how long it takes.
This is my Journey to improve myself, by losing weight and focusing on better eating and healthier living. I may try a couple of different diets, I may ramp up my exercise but moderation and something I can maintain are my primary goals… I hope you will join me.
